Digital Twin of Water Treatment Plant
The system proposed by our Group develops an advanced Digital Ecosystem for the management of complex assets, such as infrastructures, industrial plants and processes. It involves the creation of a multi-level infrastructure composed of a software platform for data acquisition, management and representation; robotic devices and sensors for field analysis; and algorithms for modeling water treatment and recovery plants (WRRF – Water Resource Recovery Facilities).
The software platform develops a Digital Twin of the physical infrastructure, integrating the acquired and analyzed data in real time.
Thanks to Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence techniques, the system regulates and optimizes the process parameters, improving the management, efficiency and optimization of the WRRF.
This combination of advanced technologies, multidisciplinary approach and high specialization makes the system unique at an international level.
